DMARC tester: domain policy, reporting and sender protection

The DataHouse DMARC tester checks the _dmarc DNS record, policy p, rua reporting, pct enforcement and SPF/DKIM alignment settings. It helps companies control legitimate senders and reduce spoofing.

Policy

DMARC can monitor only, quarantine suspicious mail or reject failing messages.

Reports

rua reports help identify legitimate senders before moving from p=none to enforcement.

Alignment

DMARC links SPF and DKIM authentication with the visible sender domain.

When should DMARC be checked?

  • Before mail migration or MX changes.
  • After adding a newsletter, CRM, helpdesk or application sender.
  • Before moving from p=none to quarantine or reject.
  • When spoofing, sender reputation or deliverability problems appear.
  • After SPF, DKIM, TXT or subdomain changes.

How to interpret DMARC

A high score means the domain publishes one valid DMARC record, defines a policy, uses reporting and does not weaken enforcement with a very low pct value.

FAQ: DMARC tester

Does the DMARC tester send a test email?

No. It checks the public _dmarc DNS record, analyzes DMARC tags and highlights risks. It does not send email or log into a mailbox.

Is p=none enough to protect a domain?

p=none is a useful monitoring start, but it does not enforce protection. After legitimate senders are identified, move toward quarantine or reject.
